Kinetic Typography

February 7th, 2009

I made a kinetic typography version of a favorite scene from The Honeymooners.

This is a scene from the Honeymooners episode The $99,000 Answer. I made the video to go with the audio from the clip. I won’t embed it here, because you can see it in full HD resolution at YouTube here. Enjoy.

I know I haven’t exactly been writing a lot lately. I’ll just add here that I’m taking 6 classes (20 credits) and haven’t exactly had a lot of time. I’ll see if I can get a few more posts in soon.

Edit: sorry about the malformed YouTube URL. It’s working now.

    Very cool and well done.
You won’t mind that I shared that with my FB friends, right, lol?

Really excellent! The graphics, movements, and timing seemed exactly right. Was this personal, or for a class?

I guess I should have explained a bit more. I’m going to be using Adobe After Effects for class later this semester, and I decided I should learn it early so I have a good handle on it by the time I actually have to make something. After following a couple of tutorials from http://www.aetuts.com I set out to make this. I was inspired by many of the examples you can find by searching for

Step 1 to the being a New Media douchebag: Don’t do any real work.
